Abdominal Perforator Exchange Flap
Similar to a DIEP Flap, this procedure also uses abdominal tissue to produce a natural breast appearance, with a lower, less conspicuous incision at the donor site. Plus, this procedure allows a natural look and feel. Rather than cutting through muscle, the blood vessels in your abdomen are simply removed and reattached at the breast. It’s usually done when the positioning of blood vessels in relation to your abdominal muscles is uncommon or otherwise difficult to reach.
